National Philanthropy Day

MTMS wants to thank, you!

Today is National Philanthropy Day, a day to celebrate philanthropy and the countless ways in which giving and volunteering have made a difference for 56 MTMS students and 101 MTMS alumni who are continuing their educational journey’s.

National Philanthropy Day (NPD) recognizes the collective impact that the thousands of charities and millions of donors and volunteers have made in our community and across Canada. This impact starts with each individual person and their unique story - people like YOU!

The breadth of programming at MTMS is a wonderful example of the generosity that exists in our community. Last year, 42 volunteers helped to offer 45 after-school enrichment programs, prepare meals for MTMS families and help coordinate events like the Jolly Gingerbread Jamboree and The Sky’s the Limit celebration. Additionally, 88 mentors provided one-on-one mentorship to MTMS students and alumni. Moreover, the generosity of 156 donors helped provide extensive supports needed to foster hope, unlock student potential and empower students to achieve their full potential.

For the last eight years, your gifts have helped to build brighter futures for MTMS students. To everyone who shares their time, their skills and talents and their financial resources with Mother Teresa Middle School, please accept our sincere thanks. Throughout the year, the school will celebrate your generosity by sharing stories of philanthropy through its’ social media channels. We invite you to follow us online to explore the generosity of our donors and volunteers. Your support has and will continue to make a profound impact in our students lives. We are truly grateful!
