The Sky's The Limit

In 2011 we opened Mother Teresa Middle School (MTMS) guided by the mission to provide life-changing educational opportunities for some of Regina’s most under-privileged children. Seven years later, the first Grade 6 class from our unique school is in Grade 12. This is an extremely special achievement for these students.

Many of these students will tell you that they would not have stayed in school if not for the MTMS program and the support of the MTMS community. They have faced the unimaginable and have persevered in the most remarkable ways.

This spring, we will gather to celebrate each of their individual triumphs and the incredible community that has journeyed with them - families, friends, volunteers, mentors, teachers, support staff and our amazing community partners.

As we prepare for this gathering, we’ve asked our Indigenous Elders to share with us some words that embodied what we were celebrating.

“Mamawi-Pimohtehowin.” In the Cree language this means, The journey - Travel together.

We invite you to travel with us on June 14, 2018 during a special evening called “The Sky’s the Limit”.  This is sure to be an unforgettable night filled with stories of triumph, determination and the power of community.
