At Mother Teresa Middle School (MTMS), the Lorne and Evelyn Johnson Foundation plays a pivotal role in empowering students to achieve their goals. Their extraordinary commitment to MTMS is transforming lives, opening doors, and inspiring young minds to reach their full potential. “We are beyond grateful to the Lorne and Evelyn Johnson Foundation and the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation. Their generosity is not just changing lives now but will continue to make a difference for generations to come,” said MTMS Executive Director, Curtis Kleisinger.
Over the past decade, the Lorne and Evelyn Johnson Foundation has brightened every corner of the school. Their support extends to essential initiatives like the Transportation Program, which provides safe and reliable transport to school each day. This commitment ensures that regardless of a student’s circumstances, they are able to attend school on time ready to learn.
The generosity of the Foundation has also impacted the Nutrition Program, ensuring that students are well-nourished and able to focus on their academic and personal growth. By providing nutritious meals and snacks each school day, the Nutrition Program helps students learn and grow without the distraction of hunger. The Foundation’s contributions have also enriched the school with musical instruments and provided valuable leadership opportunities through summer programming in partnership with the First Nations University of Canada.
