Mother Teresa Middle School (MTMS) expresses our heartfelt gratitude to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation for their generous donation of $20,000 in support of the Graduate Support Program (GSP). This contribution will directly support mental health programming within the GSP, allowing Mother Teresa Middle School to provide timely interventions to help identify concerns early to improve alumni well-being as they navigate critical educational and career transitions.

“This grant will enable early identification and response to mental health concerns. Accessing these supports is critical and impacts student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being.” - Ron Gonzales, Director of Student and Graduate Support

The GSP program is designed to ensure students remain on track to achieve their educational and career aspirations by offering personalized transition plans and holistic support. This 11-year journey begins in Grade 6 and continues throughout high school, post-secondary to employment.

MTMS students celebrate at the 2024 Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony.

“We understand the challenges and financial stress youth face as they look to pursue post-secondary education or enter the workforce, and the strain it can have on their mental health," said Nimmi Kanji, Executive Director of the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation. “We are proud to fund initiatives like the Graduate Support Program at Mother Teresa Middle School to support the school's alumni network as they enter this next chapter in their lives.”

Thank you Telus Friendly Future Foundation! Together, we are creating a brighter, healthier, and more hopeful future—one student at a time.
